This is an excellent course for students who are creative but struggle with more traditional artistic techniques such as drawing and painting. You will study other photographers’ work in order to develop your own style and will produce a portfolio of work that is worth 60% of your final marks. In Year 11 you will complete a task set by the exam board which will include a ten-hour examination; this will be the final 40% of your marks. This is an intensive course and will require a lot of work outside school time.
