Graham School @grahamschoolRT @HopeLT_York: We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you to all the wonderful people we work…1 month ago
The protection, safety and wellbeing of children in our care is a top priority and responsibility and we are committed to following the Area Child Protection Committee’s and North Yorkshire’s child protection procedures and guidance. We refer to Children’s and Social Care when appropriate; working together with other agencies, attending and providing reports for Child Protection conferences and contributing where appropriate to any Child Protection Plan.
The School policy takes account of all relevant legislation including the ‘Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education’ issued by DfE in 2007.
It is in line with the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board Child Protection Procedures www.safeguardingchildren.co.uk, ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ (1999 and 2006) and ‘What to do if you are worried a Child is being Abused’ (2006).
This policy applies to all adults, including volunteers, working in or on behalf of the school. A copy of the policy can be requested by contacting the school.
Everyone in the education service shares an objective to help keep children and young people safe by contributing to:
Providing a safe environment for children and young people to learn in education settings; and
Identifying children and young people who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm and taking appropriate action with the aim of making sure they are kept safe, both at home and in the education setting.
We are always very grateful to receive positive comments from our school community. Thank you for your kind words, our staff will really appreciate this...
